Forget Me Not Fund recently donated $10,000 to the Greater Wisconsin Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association to support their vision of a world without Alzheimer’s.

Forget Me Not Fund, Inc was established as a non-profit 501(c)3 organization in September 2016 in an effort to support those in Northeastern Wisconsin Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias and their caregivers. Forget Me Not Fund does this by educating caregivers by sponsoring seminars and training events and memory cafes for families touched by Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.

With a focus on Oconto, Shawano, Stockbridge Munsee, and Menominee Tribal Communities Forget Me Not Fund in its association with the Wolf River Dementia and Caregiver Network are able to provide local education and awareness while continuing to generously support the Greater Wisconsin Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.

Forget Me Not Fund relies on community events to raise money for these efforts throughout the year. From a chili dump/hot cocoa sale at the annual Mooseyard St Patty’s Day Parade & Partyto selling Forget Me Not Grape soda slushies at SunDrop Dayz– hosted by our generous friends at Twig’s Beverage— to the annual cornerstone event, The Fall Fashion Show.

Currently, over 110,000 people in Wisconsin are living with Alzheimer’s or dementia, and more than 194,000 people care for loved ones with the disease. It is the mission of the Alzheimer’s Association to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
