Forget Me Not Fund

On November 1, 2022, a Caregiver and Brain Health Conference was held at the Waubee Lake Lodge in Lakewood WI. Over 80 people attended the conference. Julie Rosznowski-Olson, Geriatric NP-BC, MSN, BSN, APNP, Alzheimer’s Association Volunteer Community Educator, presented Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Jody Krainer from BadgerTalks, presented virtually Family Caregiver Burnout and Alzheimer’s Disease, a hospice panel discussed Palliative Care, Hospice Myths and Bereavement during a lunch and learn. Unity Hospice, Promedica, and Compassus provided this discussion during the lunch and learn. Martin Schreiber, former governor of Wisconsin and author of My Two Elaines concluded the day with a personal discussion about caring for his wife, Elaine, following her diagnosis of Alzheimer’s Disease. Martin Schreiber stayed for a book signing following his talk.

Guests enjoyed breakfast, a soup and salad bar and door prizes provided by The Forget Me Not Fund, Compassus Hospice, The ADRC of Marinette County, The ADRC of the Wolf River Region, and The Dementia Friendly Community Coalition of Marinette County.

Resource tables were available throughout the day. A special thank you to our vendors who provided information and resources.
